Summary

NOTES THE RECENT INCREASED POPULARITY OF CEILING COOLING, WHICH OFFERS THE POSSIBILITY OF REMOVING HIGH HEAT LOADS (60-80 W/M2 ) FROM ROOMS WITH NO DRAUGHTS, WHICH IS VERY DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE WITH ALL-AIR SYSTEMS. DESCRIBES A COMPUTER SIMULATION OF THE ANNUAL OPERATING BEHAVIOUR OF A CEILING COOLING SYSTEM WITH AND WITHOUT SUPPLEMENTARY VENTILATION FOR A NEW, REINFORCED CONCRETE BUILDING. THE SIMULATION WAS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF THE RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTS CARRIED OUT AT THE HERMANN-RIETSCHEL INSTITUTE WHICH ARE REPRODUCED IN THE ARTICLE. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
