IIR takes part in RACHP European Conference
The 20th European RACHP Conference of Centro Studi Galileo was held in Milan at the beginning of June. The IIR presented the women in cooling brochure and held a booth to promote the projects ENOUGH and SophiA.
The 20th European RACHP Conference, organised by Centro Studi Galileo, was held in Milan (Italy) on 8 and 9 June. The Centro Studi Galileo is a renowned training centre in Italy and one of the leading ones in Europe and the world for education and information in the sectors of refrigeration, air conditioning and renewable energies.
The two-day conference focused on the latest technologies in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps. Didier Coulomb, Director General of the IIR, moderated and chaired technical sessions on fluorinated gases, their regulations, as well as on energy savings, efficiency, alternative refrigerants, environmental issues, the cold chain, training and, lastly, certification.
Ina Colombo (secretary of the IIR’s CaRe working group) presented the outcomes of the worldwide survey on the women in cooling brochure as part of a special session dedicated to women. Colleen Keyworth, President of the International Network of Women in Cooling (INWIC), took the opportunity to promote the new INWIC initiative that promotes and enhances the role of women in the RACH sector.
During the conference, the IIR and the Union des Associations Africaines des Acteurs de la Réfrigération et de la Climatisation (U-3ARC) signed a mutual Memorandum of understanding. This opens the door to new synergies and collaborations with the African continent!
Lastly, the IIR held a booth to promote its two funded projects (SophiA and Enough) and the upcoming International Congress of Refrigeration (ICR 2023) to be held in August in Paris.
