Variable refrigerant flow systems (VRF) market in Europe
European VRF market scale was less than 117,000 units in 2013, almost the same level as 2012.
The European economy appears to have finally hit bottom. Although the decrease in the European air conditioner market was smaller in 2013 than in previous years, the PAC (portable air conditioner) segment still shrank by 7% over 2012.
VRF systems have gradually been recognized within the European air conditioner industry as superior to chiller systems. VRF demand expanded in regions that experienced solid economic recovery and grew slightly overall.
