Conditions de froid des bacs de réfrigération dans le département de Vest Agder en Norvège.

Temperature conditions in refrigerated counters in Vest Agder, Norway.

Résumé

As in many other countries earlier surveys of the cold chain in Norway have shown poor temperatures. Focus has especially been on convenience stores where temperatures above 12 deg C have been frequently observed. In 1995 a new regulation for food trade was introduced in Norway. The owners of the refrigeration equipment should according to the regulations control the cabinets, temperatures, etc. every day. During summer 1995 the Municipal Food Control in Vest Agder conducted a large survey of temperatures in grocery stores and gas stations. To control the effect of the new regulations the authors performed a survey in 48.5% of the same stores and gas stations during summer 1997. In general the new regulations seemed to have had no effect. The temperatures in display cabinets were poorer than earlier, especially for the upper shelves of open multi-floor cabinets. Improved sales equipment with reliable temperature control and easy maintenance arrangement for the equipment is needed.
