Résumé

Three ripeness grades, 2 packing methods and 30 cold storage treatments (for 6-8 days, the period required by local producers between harvesting and selling) were applied to Daniela tomato fruits, hydroponically grown under protection in the Western Cape Province, South Africa. No justification could be found to keep fruits at temperatures below 15 deg C. Exposure of fruits to 100-200 degree days yielded firm fruits with adequate aroma and good appearance.
