Influence de l'atmosphère modifiée sur la conservation des cantaloups sauvages et transgéniques antisens ACO.

Effects of modified atmosphere on the conservation of Cantaloupe melon wild type and transgenic ACO antisense.

Résumé

Wild type and transgenic antisense ACC oxidase (1-amino-cyclopropane-1-carboxylate oxidoreductase) melons were wrapped in retractile or non-retractile film and stored at 2 °C for 7 and 14, and 7, 14 and 21 days, respectively. After storage, the fruits were transferred to another chamber at 22 °C, either in air or in modified atmosphere, for 4 days. Modified-atmosphere packaging significantly reduced water loss in the fruits. Wild type melons were not suitable for consumption even after 7 days of storage. Transgenic fruits were still marketable after 21 days of storage.
