Summary

The fourth (1996) edition of the Montreal Protocol Handbook (see IIR Bulletin, ref. 99-0674) and this 1997 update to the Handbook together contain the information needed to understand the international regime for the protection of the ozone layer. This update adds the decisions of the eighth and ninth meetings of the Parties to the Protocol, including the Montreal Adjustment and Amendment in 1997.
