Summary
A new car air-conditioning system with single effect lithium bromide absorption chiller/heater is investigated. The cylinder liners, engine block, cylinder head of the internal combustion engine are taken as the generator of the absorption system, then the car compression refrigeration system and heating system in use and the car engine cooling system may be replaced by the new air conditioning system. The working principle of single effect lithium bromide absorption chiller/heater is demonstrated. It may eliminate the high greenhouse effect resulted from the R134a in the car air-conditioning system while saving energy. It is highly valued of this simple and compact system for the future research and development of the car air-conditioning system.
