THE TERM < SOLAR ENERGY > INVOLVES THE TECHNICAL DOMAINS OF HEAT PUMPS, SOLAR ENERGY AND THERMAL STORAGE. IN A FIRST STAGE, HEAT PUMP TECHNOLOGY WAS CONSIDERED AS BEING CAPABLE OF PROVIDING POTENTIALLY HIGH AND QUICK SAVINGS IN SWEDISH OIL REQUIREMENTS.
