PROVIDES A DETAILED PARAMETRIC STUDY OF AMMONIA-WATER AND AMMONIA-LITHIUM NITRATE PAIRS AS WORKING FLUIDS, WHICH INDICATES A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT OF THE COP WITH AN ABSORBER HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM OVER THEIR RESPECTIVE BASIC ABSORPTION SYSTEMS. AMMONIA-LITHIUM NITRATE IS MORE SUITABLE FOR EMPLOYING A WATER-COOLED CONDENSER/ABSORBER AND YIELDS GREATER IMPROVEMENT IN COP AT HIGHER CONDENSER TEMPERATURES AND VERY LOW EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURES IN BOTH CONVENTIONAL AND ABSORBER HEAT EXCHANGER CYCLES.
