A CONTRIBUTION TO THE VENTILATION OF ROOMS BY RADIAL JETS.

Author(s) : SCHAFERS A. W., ZELLER M.

Summary

AIR CIRCULATION AND THE TEMPERATURE FIELD ARE STUDIED IN A 4.7 X 3.0 X 2.0 M TEST ROOM EQUIPPED WITH A DIFFUSER IN THE CEILING. THERE IS NO REMARKABLE EFFECT IN THE ADMISSION TEMPERATURE AROUND THE JET, EVEN IN THE CASE OF EXTREME TEMPERATURES. AN INTENSIVE AIR MOVEMENT AND PERFECT AIR MIXING ARE OBSERVED IF THE ADMISSION TEMPERATURE IS LOW AND IF THE FLOOR IS HEATED. OTHERWISE, AIR MIXING IS OBTAINED ONLY FOR HIGH ADMISSION VELOCITIES.
