Type of article: Article, Case study

Summary

Energy-efficient buildings didn't become a new architecture image at the end of 20th-beginning of 21st century. Architects realized the beauty, potential and expressiveness of stone, wood, glass and constructed many wonderful buildings with these materials. For architects, energy-efficient buildings remain a set of complicated technical solutions, managed only by engineers. Architects conceive buildings as shapes and images, and technical solutions related to energy-efficient buildings 'disturb ' the expression of their ideas in construction. An example of what can be done is presented.
