Summary

For the purpose of fast designing high performance of multi-unit air conditioner, a general steady state system model based on graph theory is developed. In the system model, a general description method for describing multi-unit system based on graph theory is presented, using the directed graph and the corresponding adjacent to describe components and connection pipes makes it have the ability to describe any complex system; a multi-zone model for maldistribution airflow heat exchanger is developed, employing airflow factors of each zone instead of using homogeneous airflow results in the improvement of multi-zone model accuracy for maldistribution airflow heat exchanger; and a mass balance iteration method based on graph theory is developed to solve the sub-models of components. The model is validated with the experimental data, and the deviations of system capacity and energy efficiency are within 5%.
