AFTER REPORTING ITS MODE OF OPERATION AND CALCULATING ITS COP FROM THE STUDY OF THE THERMODYNAMICAL CYCLE AND THERMAL CONSIDERATIONS A CALCULATION EXAMPLE IS GIVEN FOR THIS COP AND POSSIBLE NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THIS ARE EVALUATED. THE MAIN DIFFERENCES WITH THE HEAT PUMP, WITH A REFRIGERANT, ARE STUDIED AND A COMPARISON IS MADE WITH THE GAS DRIVEN HEAT PUMP FOR THE EMISSION OF POLLUTANTS.
