Summary

FOR THE ADAPTIVE CONTROL OF FEEDING REFRIGERANT, IT IS NECESSARY TO DETERMINE THE DYNAMIC MODEL STRUCTURE OF THE EVAPORATOR. THE STEP SIGNAL OF MASS FLOW WITH DIFFERENT AMPLITUDES HAS BEEN APPLIED TO A REFRIGERATION SYSTEM IN THE LINEAR OR PULSE MODULATION WAYS. THE TEST RESULTS SHOW THAT THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE EVAPORATOR MIGHT BE VIEWED AS A FIRST ORDER SYSTEM WITH DELAY. THIS CONCLUSION HAS BEEN APPLIED TO AN AIR CONDITIONER FOR REGULATING THE REFRIGERANT SUCCESSFULLY. IN ADDITION, A TRIANGLE WAVE CONTROL SIGNAL HAS BEEN USED TO TEST THE MODEL. THE RELATION CURVES OF THE SATURATED TEMPERATURE VERSUS THE OPENING DEGREE OF A SOLENOID VALVE, AND OF THE TIME CONSTANTS VERSUS OPENING DEGREE, ARE GIVEN.
