THE REFRIGERATION CENTRE AT MONTSOULT, WITH A VOLUME OF 230,000 M3, CONSISTS OF TWO DISTINCT SECTIONS OF 80,000 AND 150,000 M3. TO SPREAD THE RISKS, THE FOLLOWING SOLUTIONS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED: CONSTRUCTION OF THREE FIRE BREAKS, WITH FIRE-PROOF DOORS ; AT THE END OF EACH UNIT, EQUIPMENT WITH PLATFORMS, GANGWAYS AND A SMALL ROOM SPECIALLY DESIGNED AS FIRE BREAKS ; FOUR WATER CURTAINS. THESE VARIOUS FACILITIES ARE BACKED UP BY FIRE DETECTION DEVICES IN ALL THE REFRIGERATED ROOMS AND ADJACENT PREMISES, A FIRE NETWORK AND A PERMANENT WARNING SERVICE.
