A NEW CYCLE FOR ENERGY SAVING OF LITHIUM BROMIDE DOUBLE EFFECT ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION.

Author(s) : MAO Y. H., CHENG Y. X.

Summary

THE AUTHORS PRESENT A NEW CYCLE, IN SERIES AND IN PARALLEL, FOR A LITHIUM BROMIDE DOUBLE EFFECT ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION MACHINE, WHOSE COP COULD BE UP TO 10% HIGHER THAN THE ONE OF A CYCLE IN PARALLEL. IN ORDER TO USE TO A MAXIMUM THE SENSIBLE HEAT AVAILABLE FROM THE VAPOUR CONDENSATION, THE LAYOUT AND LOCATION OF THE CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGER ARE EXAMINED. THE AUTHORS GIVE THE RESULTS OF THE PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS FOR A MACHINE OPERATING ACCORDING TO THE NEW PROCESS (TEMPERATURE, PRESSURES, COP). THEY CONCLUDE THAT, IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER MACHINES, AND ALTHOUGH THE NEW ONE OPERATES IN CONDITIONS WHICH ARE DEFINITELY MORE SEVERE, ITS SPECIFIC RATE OF VAPOUR CONSUMPTION AND OTHER ASSOCIATED VALUES REACH LEVELS WHICH ARE APPRECIABLY BETTER.
