Summary

A new four parameter corresponding states method is presented to correlate the generalized volumetric behaviour of polar and non polar fluids. It is different from the other corresponding states methods that the acentric factor is cancelled and the normal boiling point and the critical compressibility factor are introduced as basic parameters. Comparison between experimental and calculated volumetric properties shows that highly accurate results are obtained by the new method for 17 polar and non polar working fluids and 3583 experimental data.
