Summary
The authors outline a new methodology by which available climatic data may be manipulated into a form which is more suitable for air conditioning design. An outdoor air model which can be used in generating life-cycle load estimates, in sizing the cooling coils and in selecting the air conditioning plant and its associated control system is developed. Provisions for yearly estimates of energy consumption by the plant are then readily available.
