Summary
A NEW MINI SCREW COMPRESSOR HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR A WIDE RANGE OF INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS IN THE INTERMEDIATE CAPACITY RANGE OF 200-900 M3/H. FOR COLD STORE APPLICATIONS IT CAN PROVIDE AN EVAPORATING TEMPERATURE OF 228 K (-45 DEG C) AT A COP OF 1.0 WITH R22. FOR AIR CONDITIONING, CONDENSING AT 313 K (40 DEG C) AND EVAPORATING AT 278 K (5 DEG C), THE POWER CONSUMPTION IS 17% LESS THAN FOR A COMPARABLE RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR. THIS COMPRESSOR WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR HEAT PUMP APPLICATIONS AS IT CONSUMES LESS ENERGY AND PROVIDES GREATER RELIABILITY THAN COMPARABLE RECIPROCATING MACHINES, BECAUSE IT CONTAINS SIX TIMES LESS MOVING PARTS. IN HEAT PUMP APPLICATIONS, THE EVAPORATING TEMPERATURE CAN DROP AS LOW AS 233 K (-40 DEG C) WITHOUT ANY RISK OF OVERHEATING THE COMPRESSOR.
