Summary
This article presents a systematic analysis of the thermodynamic and hydrodynamic theory of a capillary pumped loop (CPL). This theory, in combination with a computer code, was used to design a new CPL. The results presented in this article have been validated by tests performed on an experimental version of the CPL.
