Summary
A super heat pump with a chemical heat storage unit was installed in May 1992. The COP is about twice as high as that of conventional heat pumps. Chemical heat storage units using Clathrate are much more compact than water heat storage systems. System COP, including the heat storage system, was higher than 5.0. The authors confirmed the high efficiency of the system.
