Summary
This paper presents the description of a laboratory prototype of an adsorption cooling system operated with heat regenerative cycles. The adsorption pair is the zeolite sodiumX-water pair. A new adsorbent composite is tested, which gives good heat transfer in the adsorber and good mass transfer with the evaporator. The experimental results exhibit cooling power which are rather large but the COP are still to be enhanced due to the design of the adsorber.
