THE PAPER PRESENTS A NUMERICAL METHOD FOR CALCULATING THE HEAT TRANSFER IN A GAP REGENERATOR. A MODEL SUGGESTED IS AN UNSTEADY TWO-DIMENSIONAL CONVECTION-CONDUCTION CONJUGATED HEAT TRANSFER UNDER OSCILLATING FLOW, IN WHICH THE TEMPERATURES OF INFLOW GAS AT THE BOUNDARIES ARE GIVEN, THE TEMPERATURES OF OUTFLOW GAS AND THE INTERNAL TEMPERATURES OF WALL MATERIAL ARE DETERMINED BY ITERATION, THEN THE ENTHALPY EFFECTIVENESS AND THE TEMPERATURE EFFECTIVENESS OF REGENERATOR ARE CALCULATED.
