A simulation and design model for capillary tube-suction line heat exchangers.
Author(s) : PEIXOTO R. A., BULLARD C. W.
Summary
For a given set of operational and geometric conditions the model calculates mass flow rate, capillary tube exit quality and suction line temperature at heat exchanger outlet. Alternatively in design mode, the model can determine the lengths and tube diameters required for a given flow rate and operational conditions. Results are presented for R12 and R134a.
