Summary
A GENERAL STEADY-STATE MODEL FOR SIMULATING AN AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM CONSISTS OF VARIOUS STANDARD COMPONENTS SUCH AS EVAPORATORS, COMPRESSORS, CONDENSERS, CAPILLARY TUBES, AND HEAT EXCHANGER FANS. MANUFACTURERS' PERFORMANCE CATALOG DATA OF THE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS, ALONG WITH THERMODYNAMIC RELATIONSHIPS, WERE USED TO MATHEMATICALLY MODEL THE AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM. THE MODEL IS CAPABLE OF SIMULATING THE RESPONSE OF AN AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM CONFIGURATION FOR A VARIETY OF AMBIENT AND INSIDE CONDITIONS.
