Summary
FOR THE CALCULATION, THE TRANSFER MECHANISM OF THE SLUDGEFREEZING IS REGARDED AS THE ONE-DIMENSIONAL HEAT CONDUCTION PROBLEM AND THE NONLINEAR OPTIMIZATION PROCEDURE IS USED. THE EXPERIMENT ON THE ONE-DIMENSIONAL FREEZING IS CARRIED OUT BY USING THE SLUDGE IN A CLEAN WATER RESERVOIR IN KANAZAWA CITY. THE SIGNIFICANT CORRELATION OF THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND COOLING TIME IS OBTAINED, AND THE MECHANISM OF THE SLUDGEFREEZING AND THE APPLICABILITY OF THE APPROXIMATE SOLUTION FOR THE NEUMANN PROBLEM ARE STUDIED ON THE BASIS OF THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES ESTIMATED IN THIS PAPER.
