Summary

THE LOAD TORQUE IS CLASSIFIED INTO THE MOMENTS BASED ON THE VANE SPRING FORCE, THE FRICTIONAL MOMENT AT THE THRUST, THE FRICTIONAL MOMENTS AT JOURNAL BEARINGS. RESULTS CALCULATED USING EMPIRICAL COEFFICIENTS OF FRICTION AND THE MEASURED MAGNETIC PULL FORCE ARE IN GOOD CORRELATION WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS. TO CONTROL THE STARTING LOAD TORQUE, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE COMPRESSOR SHOULD BE ASSEMBLED TAKING ACCOUNT OF CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MAGNETIC PULL FORCE OF THE MOTOR.
