IIR document
A supermarket refrigeration system based on the water loop heat pump concept.
Author(s) : GREEN R. H., CASTLE T. P.
Summary
The authors describe a supermarket refrigerating plant comprising a main (ammonia) cooler used to cool a secondary refrigerant to a temperature of around 0 °C. The latter supplies condensers in display-cabinet circuits using R404A and also condensers in frozen-food display-cabinet circuits using R404. On leaving the condensers, the secondary refrigerant supplies the evaporator of the auxiliary unit; the condenser of this unit provides heat used to heat the premises. Several variations are examined from an energy-consumption point of view.
