Summary

During the test sequence, the glass samples are mounted in a specially designed calorimeter apparatus. The test is conducted in controlled laboratory conditions at the National Center for Research and Technology Development in Mexico using a solar simulator test lamp. The overall heat loss coefficient U(c) measured was of 1.7 plus or minus 0.1 W/m2 °C. Overall heat transfer and shading coefficients are derived from the experimental results. The test method described allows the testing of practically any kind of glazing array.
