DESCRIBES THE BUILDING AND TESTING OF A PROTOTYPE HEAT PUMP INCORPORATING THERMOCHEMICAL ENERGY STORAGE. THE HEAT PUMP IS DESIGNED TO UTILISE THE CHEAP ECONOMY 7 ELECTRIC TARIFF. THE CALCIUM CHLORIDE/WATER/AMMONIA SYSTEM WAS USED AS A STORAGE MEDIUM AND AMBIENT AIR AS A HEAT SOURCE. BOTH PUMPING AND REGENERATION PHASES HAVE BEEN DEMONSTRATED. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
