BASING ON THEORETICALLY REALISABLE THERMAL CONDITIONS, THE AUTHORS STRESS THE REQUIREMENT OF STUDYING OTHER MIXTURES OF WORKING MEDIA FOR CONTROLLING THE HIGHER TEMPERATURES ENCOUNTERED IN DIRECT HEATING ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS. THE POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENT OF SINGLE-STAGE ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS WITH CONVENTIONAL NH3 -H2 O AND H2 O-LITHIUM BROMIDE MIXTURES IS SHOWN. THEY DEDUCE THE MAIN APPLICATIONS OF ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS WITH CONVENTIONAL MIXTURES.
