Technology trends in gas heat pumps in North America.

Summary

A number of projects are underway in the United States to improve energy efficiency using advanced absorption and adsorption technologies, to eliminate chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), to reduce global warming through more efficient combustion of natural gas, and to reduce electric peak demand for air conditioning. The paper is a summary of these projects designed to assist industry in developing these gas heating and cooling technologies.
