Summary

TWO-STAGE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINES DRIVEN BY SOLAR ENERGY WERE STUDIED. A SIMULATION PROGRAMME WAS ESTAB THE TWO-STAGE ABSORPTION MACHINE WORKING WITH TWO DESORBERS IN PARALLEL HAS BEEN SHOWN TO BE THE BEST CHOICE FOR PRODUCING COLD AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 0 DEG C, WITH FLAT PLATE SOLAR COLLECTORS. THE OPTIMUM WORKING CONDITIONS WERED THEN, THE OPERATION WAS STUDIED FOR THE ACTUAL CLIMATIC CONDITIONS IN RABAT, MOROCCO. FINALLY, FOR OBTAINING A CONTINUOUS OPERATION, WARM AND COLD ENERGY STORAGES WERE OPERATED.
