Summary
The article focusses on absorption heat pump and refrigeration cycles capable of using mid- to low-temperature heat sources as part of energy systems which integrate thermodynamic efficiency with the use of environmentally-friendly energies. The current status of new absorption cycles is described. Tables of new absorption working fluids pairs are presented with remarks. The advantage of absorption cycles in terms of exergy efficiency is also discussed.
