Summary
New technology for energy storage was developed. Different from other energy storage technologies using sensible or latent heat, it makes use of the solution concentration difference between the energy storage process and the cold release process. The principles are discussed and a comparison with salt eutectic cold storage technology is made. It is expected that the new technology could improve the application of uncertain energy supplying, such as solar energy or waste and exhaust heat to keep the absorption refrigeration system in steady operating condition, and it would be in widespread use for energy recovery and environment protection.
