Summary
Italian translation of an article presented at the 19th IIR Congress, in The Hague, Netherlands, August 1995 (see IIR Bulletin 96-2, 96-1180). The most commonly available forms of renewable energy in use today for the provision of electricity would include wind power, solar photovoltaic power or solar thermal power. Any assessment of renewable energy refrigeration techniques must take into account the high capital cost and low running cost characteristics of the plant by rigorous application of life cycle costing techniques.
