Summary

AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY WAS CARRIED OUT TO DETERMINE THE EFFECT OF EXTERNAL RADIO-FREQUENCY AND CONSTANT MAGNETIC FIELDS ON TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCIES OF SURFACE IMPEDANCE OF METAL-CERAMIC PLATES ON A BASE OF YTTRIUM AND LANTHANIDES IN THE FREQUENCY RANGE 1,000-10 MILLIONS HERTZ. THE MAXIMUM OBSERVED DEPENDENCE ON TEMPERATURE OF IMPEDANCE IS EXPLAINED IN TERMS OF THE SIZE EFFECT, WHEN THE DEPTH OF SKIN LAYER BE-COMESEQUAL TO THE HALF-THICKNESS OF THE SAMPLE. THE NONCONTACT METHOD IS PROPOSED FOR PERFORMING QUICK QUALITY TESTING OF CERAMIC SAMPLES AND FOR DETERMINING CRITICAL TEMPERATURE.
