Summary

The building is a shopping complex built as a Sino-Japanese joint venture investment. The paper presents the air-conditioning, ventilation and the smoke-management system design and the building. It emphasises the cooling and heating sources selection. Based on the environment and engineering characteristics. Two water cooled centrifugal chillers and four air cooled heat pump units used for heating in winter and cooling at partial loads in summer. The project has operated as well as expected by the designers since 1998.
