Summary
Guidelines for the design of clean rooms in the pharmaceutical industry. The most significant regulations worldwide are reviewed, and special emphasis is devoted to air distribution inside clean rooms; in the authors opinion, the most convenient solution relies on laminar air flow confined within defined regions, surrounded by turbulent flow.
