Air conditioning systems performance, environment and energy factors.

Type of monograph: Book

Air conditioning refers to the cooling and dehumidification of indoor air for thermal comfort. This requires systems for heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC). This book discusses the application and performance on thermal comfort, indoor air quality and energy efficiency of a variety of room air distribution modes. Efficient energy performance of HVAC systems due to active and passive control of energy consumption are also addressed. Furthermore, this book explores a passive energy system, called air-conditioning cupboard which exploit renewable energies as thermal sources for the purpose of saving energy.
Extract from the table of contents: alternative refrigerating, het-pumping and air-conditioning systems on the basis of the open absorption cycle and solar energy; principle of low-energy building design; design and implementation of a solar-powered air-conditioning system; room air distribution, indoor environmental quality and energy performance; solar thermal energy technology; passive and available house air conditioning by exploiting renewable energy sources; multi-purpose operation planning of the micro-energy source for air conditioning with renewable energy; improving design in reversible heat pumps; load predictor for air-conditioning systems using artificial neural networks models for intelligent buildings; performance of a passive aquarium's conditioning system; new progress in liquid desiccant cooling systems.
