Summary

STATES THAT TO OPTIMISE DESIGN IT IS NECESSARY TO BALANCE THE IMPROVEMENTS IN OVERALL HEAT TRANSFER OBTAINEDBY INCREASING THE REFRIGERANT VELOCITY AGAINST THE SUBSEQUENT INCREASES IN PRESSURE DROP, WHICH CAUSES AN INCREASE IN THE HEAT OF REJECTION AND A REDUCTION IN TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE. PROVIDES AN ILLUSTRATION OF HOW IT IS POSSIBLE BY INCREASING THE REFRIGERANT VELOCITY TO ACTUALLY REDUCE THE TOTAL SURFACE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN APPLICATIONS. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
