FOLLOWING THE EXPANSION OF THE MINING INDUSTRY, THE INCREASED DEMAND FOR REFRIGERATION CAPACITY FOR AIR COOLING, AND THE TREND AWAY FROM DECENTRALIZED, UNDERGROUND COOLING UNITS TOWARDS LARGE, CENTRALIZED, SURFACE INSTALLED REFRIGERATION PLANT, THE COMPANY BECAME MORE DEEPLY INVOLVED FIVE YEARS AGO, BY ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL, MINE COOLING DIVISION. THE PAPER WILL COMMENT ON THE GENERAL DEVELOPMENT, AND DESCRIBE SOME OF THE SPECIAL PRODUCTS DEVELOPED OR UNDER DEVELOPMENT, SUCH AS THE INCLINED EVAPORATOR/WATER CHILLER, THE 3-CHAMBER PIPE FEEDER, AND THE FLAT COIL AIR COOLER.
