Summary

THE COOLING OF LOW FEED AIR BULK FLOWS IN THE FINNED PIPE AIR COOLER (EVAPORATOR) RESULTS IN COOLER AIR OUTLET CONDITIONS THAT ARE BELOW THE MEAN SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF THE COOLER ON THE LINE OF SATURATED AIR. THIS ENABLES LIMIT COOLING LOADS TO BE DEFINED FOR THE LIMIT AIR CONDITIONS OF THE COMFORTABLE FIELD. IN HUMID CLIMATIC AREAS LOW LIMIT COOLING LOADS ARE DESIRABLE. THE LIMIT COOLING LOAD CAN BE CONSIDERABLY LOWERED WITHOUT THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL APPARATUS WITH THE FAN ARRANGED IN SUCTION MODE AND WITH MINIMUM POSSIBLE FEED AIR BULK FLOW AND IN THE ON/OFF MODE OF THE REFRIGERATING UNIT.
