Summary

THE PROCESSES WITH CUSTOMARY TECHNOLOGY WERE EXAMINED. THEY WERE COMPARED WITH A NOVEL ONE UTILIZING A HEAT PUMP SYSTEM AND A LITHIUM CHLORIDE WATER SOLUTION. THE THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ENERGY SAVINGS CLEARLY SHOWS AN ADVANTAGE FOR THE NEW SYSTEM. THE STUDY OF THE ABSORPTION OPERATION OF AIR HUMIDITY BY MEANS OF THE WATER SOLUTION OF LITHIUM CHLORIDE HAS NEEDED AN EXPERIMENTAL WORK IN ORDER TO DEFINE THE CONTROLLING PARAMETERS OF THE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER BETWEEN THE PHASES. THE INFORMATION AND DATA GATHERED DURING THIS FIRST STEP WILL LET TO DESIGN AND SET UP A PILOT PLANT.
