Summary

With a suitable system concept and a safety strategy, ammonia liquid chillers can be used even in extreme conditions. The concept presented by the author is based on a two-stage screw compressor package for use in a two-stage system designed for two operation conditions. The control of the liquid chillers is done by the master-slave sequence control system.
