Considerations on the construction in the near future (5-10 years) in Russia of refrigerating plants for storage facilities of 200 to 2000 tonnes and for animal and vegetable product processing plants with a capacity of 2 to 20 tonnes per 24 hours. Trends in refrigerated processing technology, the use of screw compressor ammonia refrigerating systems, steel tube and finned air coolers, finned air-cooled condensers, bare tube evaporative condensers, etc. are described.
