Ammonia-water absorption systems.

Author(s) : MARSALA J.

Summary

The author explains general principles of ammonia-water absorption machines and the heat-recovery exchangers that help improve their yield. The latest improvements (GAX) suggest that new developments in the use of this type of machine may be possible in cold production or heat pumps. Various prototypes, in the United States, Japan, Europe are being developed.
