Type of article: Article
Summary
Sixty-eight years after Ferdinand Carré patented his absorption cycle in 1859, Albert Einstein sold his own absorption cycle system licence (in 1927) to the American manufacturer Servel (which was taken over a few years ago by the Italian company Robur). Today, almost 70 years later, a few of these machines are still operating.
