Summary

A LARGE PROPORTION OF AN OFFICE COOLING LOAD WILL BE HEAT GIVEN OFF BY BUSINESSMACHINES. IF THIS IS ASSUMED TO BE THE NAMEPLATE RATING OF THE MACHINE, THE TOTAL LOAD WILL BE TOO HIGH. REALISTIC FIGURES ARE NEEDED TO REACH GOOD LOAD ESTIMATES. TESTS ON TYPICAL MACHINES AND THEIR USAGE FACTORS, GIVEN HERE, SHOW WIDE DIFFERENCES. SOME HEAT IS RADIANT, AND CAN BE OMITTED FROM THE INSTANTANEOUS COOLING LOAD.
